Starting Up

When starting a Veterinary practice there so many investments to be made, particularly in equipment, that a professional practice management system can seem like a luxury. Fortunately help is at hand.

Vet-One is a new generation of Practice Management Software that keeps costs firmly under control. Because Vet-One is Internet based there is no need to buy an expensive server for your practice. All you need is a Broadband connection to the Internet and you are in business. Importantly, you don't have to become a computer administrator looking after a server, changing tapes and backing it up every night. All this is done for you on a secure internet server only you can access.

Vet-One can start as small as one or two users and expand to thousands so there are no problems with expanding at a later date. Finding client and animal information couldn't be easier.

Single Surgery

Whether you are replacing an old practice management system or moving from manual recording and business management, Vet-One will make life so much easier. We have developed Migration Strategies from the older Unix based Systems and all other systems in the UK.

A Practice Management system that is reliable, fast, secure and doesn't involve specialist computer skills to administer is what Vet-One gives you.

Small Group

With a group of surgeries the requirements on a Practice Management System become more complex but are resolvable. While the main surgery might have most computer equipment, the costs involved in linking branch surgeries could be very expensive depending on the method chosen. By far the most cost effective is to use Broadband to link all the sites which, apart from the lower costs, provides better performance than ISDN.

Physically linking the Branches is only the first step in developing a seamless Practice Management System. Integration is needed within the System to avoid each branch becoming an "Island of information" where information at one branch is not integrated with information at other branches. For example, a client who normally goes to Branch A, arrives at Branch B. On other systems you will have to navigate to Branch A to retrieve the records for the animal and you may end up creating records for the same animal at Branch B. Consequently, over time Client and Animal records become fragmented over all surgeries with no single view of the complete records. This can cause a major headache but is ever worse when Client accounts and Invoices are different at each Branch!!

Vet-One has all client, animal and financial records available to all authorised staff regardless of the branch at which the records were created. If you create a new clinical note or add a new client, they are immediately visible to all Branches.
