Gemhadar Software Ltd. was formed in 1999 to address the clear need for a good Veterinary Practice Management system which we call Vet-One. Vet-One utilises the latest technology advances and makes the job of Vets and Nurses easier and more efficient. Gemhadar Software do develop other web-based applications of a bespoke nature but concentrate on their only industry vertical product - Vet-One
A blend of Veterinary experience was mixed with IT technical professionalism to produce a team that understood what was needed and could be done. The result is an outstanding contribution to Veterinary Practice Management, Vet-One.
Since formation, Gemhadar Software has grown steadily, having six staff, four of whom are in our priority area of Support and Development. In excess of 500 clients use Vet-One on a daily basis (April 2008).
Vet-One is a 24/7 service available 365 days a year. Since going web-based in 2003, the service has exceeded its service level target of 99.99% availability being offline for just 3 hours 12 minutes in 5 years (2003 - 2008).
In 2005 we were founder members of VetXML - a consortium of Veterinary IT companies, under the control of SPVS (Society of Practising Veterinary Surgeons), dedicated to bring open systems interconnection and data transfer to the Veterinary Industry. We fully support the SPVS initiative for industry standards so that disparate IT systems can inter-communicate. We will support and implement all open standards developed by VetXML in a timely fashion. We have implemented electronic insurance claims and the transfer of Lab Reports both of which are being trialed with our clients (April 2008) and due to go live later in the year.
